STUDIOCANAL Kids & Family Ltd. will return to Licensing Expo 2026 with a clear focus on further expanding the global licensing ‘bootprint’ of Paddington™, one of the world’s most beloved entertainment franchises.
Backed by a thriving content ecosystem spanning three blockbuster films, television, theatre and experiential entertainment, alongside a fast-growing international consumer products programme, as well as a publishing programme with HarperCollins Children’s Books, the company will use the world’s largest licensing trade show to showcase Paddington’s continued global momentum and recruit new partners across key territories and categories.
Central to the brand’s licensing success is a carefully curated approach to collaboration. Working with best-in-class partners that reflect Paddington’s timeless values of kindness, curiosity, humour and charm, STUDIOCANAL Kids & Family continues to extend the reach of the franchise through thoughtful partnerships and culturally relevant storytelling. Recent partnerships include a global bath and body partnership with Lush, which launched across 52 markets and sold out in various locations within days. The collection connected the much-loved character with Gen Z audiences, alongside a growing portfolio of lifestyle, retail and experiential activations.
Global momentum continues to build across live experiences and location-based activations, including most recently The Peninsula Beijing which unveiled a Paddington themed afternoon tea and immersive premium family activities. Meanwhile, the eagerly anticipated Paddington: The Musical opened in London’s West End in November, winning a record-breaking nine WhatsOnStage Awards in 2026, including Best New Musical, and earning multiple Olivier Award nominations, underlining the strength of the brand on stage and its growing cultural resonance with audiences.
Paddington’s digital world is also expanding rapidly, with new experiences bringing the beloved bear to life for younger fans. From his adventures on Roblox to creative play within Crayola Create & Play+, new digital platforms are introducing Paddington to the next generation while continuing to delight families who have grown up with the bear for decades.
Alongside its licensing programme, STUDIOCANAL Kids & Family continues to grow Paddington’s retail presence globally, both in-store and online, delivering high-quality collections that celebrate the character’s enduring charm.
STUDIOCANAL will also use Licensing Expo 2026 to highlight the strength of its broader catalogue licensing portfolio. With a library of more than 9,400 titles from 60 countries spanning 100 years of film history, the portfolio features iconic brands across Retro, Horror and French New Wave, including Terminator 1 & 2, Rambo I–III, the works of John Carpenter and Jean-Luc Godard, as well as cult horror favourites such as The Howling and the Evil Dead franchise. With strong existing activity in video games, collectibles and apparel, STUDIOCANAL is actively seeking new licensing partners and fresh opportunities across categories and territories.
Backed by CANAL+ Group, STUDIOCANAL remains committed to developing truly global entertainment and consumer products brands, with exciting opportunities for partners worldwide.
