Our two publications – Licensing Magazine and The European Animation Journal – are regularly present at the main B2B events each season across Europe, the USA, and Asia, to keep you updated on the latest trends, news, and market developments.
Here are the events we’ll be attending—unmissable appointments that we hope will become valuable opportunities for connection and exchange for our dear readers.
On Tour with Licensing Magazine
We’re kicking off our summer tour with one of the industry’s unmissable events – and one of our favorites: Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, taking place May 20–22. This is where major international players unveil their global licensing strategies, and Las Vegas is often the event that sets the tone for future trends.
As Licensing Magazine, we’re proud to be a Media Partner of the event, with our own stand and print distribution of the magazine. Our brand-new Summer Edition, published online just a few days ago, is set for distribution in Las Vegas.

From the U.S. back to Europe, the June schedule will be centred around regional markets. From June 2–4, we’ll be at Shoptalk Europe, one of the key European events dedicated to the retail sector. Next up is Germany’s flagship licensing event, BrandMate (June 25–26), which this year moves to a brand-new location in Essen — one more reason to book a trip!
Soon after, the France Licensing Day in Paris (July 11) will give us insights into the French licensing market. In just a few years, this has become an unmissable meeting point for worldwide professionals in the field.
In July and August, the spotlight shifts to Asia, and Licensing Magazine will be heading East three times! We’ll be Media Partner and we will promote the Digital version of our magazine’s Summer edition at the Licensing Japan (July 2 – 4).
We’ll be at the Korea Character Licensing Fair (July 17–20, Seoul), one of the top events for discovering licensing trends in the South Korean market. For the first time, LM will be a Media Partner with a dedicated booth and magazine’s distribution – and we can’t wait!
Early August brings a niche but equally fascinating event in Taiwan: the Creative Taiwan Expo (August 4–7), focused on promoting Taiwanese creativity and content on a global stage. Later in August, we return to South Korea to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ACE FAIR, another must-attend event for content producers across Asia and beyond. Finally, added to our calendar just last year and quickly becoming a favorite, a Licensing Magazine delegation will attend Gamescom in Cologne (August 20–24), the leading gaming event in Europe.

The European Animation Journal
From consumer products to content, The European Animation Journal is also gearing up for a vibrant summer season, starting in Annecy (June 8–14) for the world’s most important animation gathering. There, we’ll celebrate the first birthday of our young and dynamic magazine with a brand-new summer issue!
The Annecy Festival and MIFA Market are joined in one major event that turns the town of Annecy into the global capital of animation for a full week. We’re extremely proud to be among the Main Media Partners this year, with a dedicated stand, magazine bins, and extensive editorial coverage!
Still in animation, we’ll wrap up June at Animator, the International Animated Film Festival in Poznań (July 5–13). Also, the unmissable Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield (July 8–13) gathers a significant cross-section of professionals in children’s and youth content.
For autumn, the industry will kick off in style in Toulouse at Cartoon Forum (September 15–18), where we’ll be present with a special feature to cover the new projects being launched. We’re also excited to announce our media partnership with MIP Africa, the leading entertainment market on the continent, featuring a dedicated section on animation.
As always, follow us for live updates from our world tour and to discover which key events you shouldn’t miss to stay on top of the latest industry trends!
