Starting from 2024, the BLTF/Kids programme has been enriched with the Licensing Portfolio Review, a brand-new and innovative way of bringing together key players in animation, brands and consumer goods manufacturers – and everything related to these categories – and illustration and design talents.
A series of meetings in speed dating mode that will take place over during the trade show Bologna Children’s Book Fair (31 March – 3 April ) and will be a unique opportunity to scout for new ideas and styles and to create new opportunities for collaboration.
The Licensing Portfolio Review takes place in the Illustrators Survival Corner, set in Hall 30 and organised by Mimaster.
The first edition of the Licensing Portfolio Reviews welcomed 16 international companies from the gaming, animation, toy, stationery and clothing sectors, for which more than 200 meetings with emerging and established illustrators and artists from all over the world were organised.
Among the companies taking part in the first edition of these special portfolio reviews were:
- Movimenti, Animoka, Enanimation and Gaumont from the animation world;
- Devolver Digital, Funny Tales and Awakening Games from gaming;
- Pigna, Franco Cosimo Panini and Seven were the leading representatives for stationery category;
- J Brand International and Illustrabimbi were the pitchers for the apparel industry;
- MS Edizioni, Red Glove and Headu for board and educational game;
- hybrid companies such as Kreaktiva Lab
