Spin Master has signed the first wave of partners, across licensees, agents and promotions for the Company’s new fantasy-adventure franchise Unicorn Academy, which launches globally on Netflix this November.
Spin Master has assigned The Point.1888 (UK), Segal Licensing (Canada), and HAVEN (ANZ) to represent this magical new property in their respective territories. “We are so proud to be working with Spin Master to help bring Unicorn Academy to life”, said Bethan Garton, Chief Commercial Officer at The Point.1888. “Amidst the wealth of content available to children, Unicorn Academy brings something unique – allowing them to explore a world with sparkle, magic and adventure. For that reason, the possibilities for product development, consumer engagement and retail activation are endless, and we’re honored to be involved”.
Additionally, Spin Master has begun to build out their licensee portfolio in North America awarding the following partners with licensing rights including Accessory Innovations (Bags, Backpacks, Headwear), Jay Franco and Sons (Home), and Centric Brands/Taste Beauty (Sleepwear, Beauty, and Hosiery). In the UK, brokered by The Point.1888, the following partners also aboard include Fashion UK (Apparel), Blues Clothing (Nightwear), Misirli (Hosiery) and Dreamtex (Home).

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt has also been secured as a promotional partner to support the launch, with a campaign that includes a special Unicorn Academy froyo flavor at all its U.S. stores in the month of November.
Spin Master previously announced that Nosy Crow, who originated and published the Julie Sykes’ New York Times-bestselling books, published in North America by Penguin Random House, will publish the official companion title for the series. Launching globally, the companion title will be a fantasy adventure story for 6+ readers, a tale of friendship, courage and finding your destiny.
Leveraging the Company’s three creative centres, Spin Master will develop toys, board games, plush and a digital game inspired by the vibrant, animated series in-house. The toy line is expected to hit shelves in Fall 2024. Unicorn Academy will begin streaming globally on Netflix in November, complemented by a rich multi-platform presence with more than 250 minutes of short and long-form content planned through 2025 including original shorts and music videos.
