Charity Navigator, Jazwares Cares, and Feed the Children, a global movement committed to ending childhood hunger, are partnering to deliver food, comfort, and toys to children and families experiencing hardship this holiday season.
Donations made through www.charitynavigator.org/toymatch between Nov. 20 and 27 will automatically prompt a toy donation from Jazwares Cares to Feed the Children — one toy for every $10 Giving Basket transaction, up to 25,000 toys total.
“Holiday giving has a ripple effect. It reminds us that generosity can be both deeply personal and profoundly collective,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “Through this partnership, we’re helping donors make an impact with the causes they care about most while showing how corporate generosity can multiply that impact and bring tangible good to families who need it most.”
Jazwares, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is contributing a mix of its most-loved toys — including Squishmallows® — to reach children who might otherwise go without this holiday season.
Judd Zebersky, CEO, Jazwares, said: “At Jazwares, we believe the power of play can unlock joy and hope, especially during the holidays. This match campaign helps scale that belief into action by channeling everyday generosity into something bigger. Each toy becomes a statement that no child this holiday should feel overlooked.”
Feed the Children will distribute the toys alongside food and essentials through its nationwide network of community partners. The organization serves families in nearly every U.S. state through its Put Child Hunger to Bed initiative, and programs including: Food & Essentials Hubs, Resource Rallies, Partner Markets, Summer Feed & Read, Disaster Relief, and Backpack-N-Go, which provide weekend meals for schoolchildren.
Emily Callahan, the President and CEO of Feed the Children, said:
“Every child deserves a joyful holiday and the opportunity to grow and thrive. That’s why we’re so grateful for our partnership with Jazwares Cares, which helps us bring comfort and joy to children across the country. Now, we can deliver meals and essentials to children and families along with a beloved toy because when we do those three things together, we nurture their strength, provide dignity and unlock their imagination and potential for a brighter future.”
Feed the Children is among the highest-performing nonprofits, rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator, which means they exceed industry standards for accountability, transparency, and financial health.
