Animaccord inspired by cross-cultural folktale motifs, titled “Masha and the Three Bears”, designed to introduce a new character lineup and unlock new opportunities across licensing and media partnerships.
The project marks a strategic step in Animaccord’s content approach, with Masha presented as a contemporary, relatable child for today’s audiences. Her appearance is designed to make her instantly recognizable as “one of their own” among modern kids, complemented by three adult bear characters embodying diverse parenting models. This character framework strengthens storytelling depth while unlocking new opportunities for Animaccord across consumer products, retail, and location-based entertainment (LBE) partnerships.
Alongside its commercial potential, the series is built on strong editorial values, combining diverse caregiving dynamics, warm character-driven humor, and safe, emotionally grounded storytelling. This foundation supports meaningful co-viewing experiences and reinforces the property’s appeal for partners seeking trusted, globally adaptable family content.
“Masha and the Three Bears” is a character-driven comedy built around the dynamic between a free-spirited child and three very different parental figures, whose differences fade in the face of their universal love and care for the little one.” said Magdalena Weremiuk, Chief Commercial Officer at Animaccord. “It delivers humor rooted in real childhood behavior and diverse parenting perspectives, while establishing a flexible, diverse foundation for partnerships across licensing, retail, and brand collaborations.”
Concept overview: Deep in the forest, three bear brothers live together in a house, figuring life out as they go – with its ups and downs – until Masha bursts in and somehow draws them closer as a family. Energetic, hilarious, and impossible to ignore, Masha brings chaos into their world, forcing the brothers into a role they never expected: caregivers. As they struggle to keep up, each shares what he does best, teaching Masha in his own unique way, while learning a few unexpected lessons themselves. And this is where chaos becomes a family.
Further details on production, distribution, and licensing rollout will be announced in Q3’2026.
