Award-winning design studio MinaLima announces the release of a spellbinding new board game set in the world of Harry Potter, Defenders of Hogwarts.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film, MinaLima invites fans back to Hogwarts in whole new way with the first-ever board game by the studio behind the graphics of the Harry Potter films. Developed by multi-award-winning industrial designer David Waterman in partnership with MinaLima and in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP), the tabletop board game will receive a limited release in Autumn 2026, followed by a global launch in Spring 2027.

Co-founders of Studio MinaLima, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima created the graphic universe of the internationally renowned Harry Potter films. They designed iconic props such as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, The Marauder’s Map and The Daily Prophet newspapers. Throughout their creative partnership, they have continued to bring the magical world to life through numerous works for the Harry Potter franchise, from creating the graphic props for the Fantastic Beasts™ films and more.

In Defenders of Hogwarts, Hogwarts Castle has been infiltrated by Death Eaters and Dark Forces. Players must choose to join them or remain loyal to the famed School of Witchcraft and Wizardry — all the while honing their spell-casting skills, exploring the storied grounds, and preparing the castle for a battle that will determine the fate of Hogwarts forever.

Complementing an existing highly-collectible range of homeware, stationery and accessories, Defenders of Hogwarts is MinaLima’s first expansion into the Toys and Games category. The game will be available to buy in a limited release online at selected retailers, at House of MinaLima locations and Harry Potter Shops from Autumn 2026. Global release in multiple languages is planned for Spring 2027.
