Sony Pictures Consumer Products (SPCP) returns to Licensing Expo with a powerful lineup of globally recognized franchises and highly anticipated upcoming releases across both film and television.
From legendary gaming franchises making their cinematic debuts to the return of beloved family favorites, the division is well-positioned to accelerate its global licensing footprint through 2026 and beyond.
The showcase features a diverse range of properties designed to translate Sony’s world-class storytelling into tangible consumer experiences through robust merchandising programs tailored to every demographic.

Film Highlights: Motion Picture Group
- Jumanji: Open World: The hilarious new installment of the wildly successful global action-adventure franchise, arriving in theaters in December 2026.
- The Legend of Zelda: Coming to theaters in May 2027. Based on the Nintendo franchise that has sold over 150 million copies globally, this film brings Link and Zelda to the big screen for the first time.
- Helldivers: Set for release in November 2027, this adaptation from PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures is based on Arrowhead Game Studios’ hugely popular video game.
Animation: Netflix & Sony Pictures Animation
- Ghostbusters Animated Series: A new series based on the beloved IP, debuting exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
- Motel Transylvania: A series spinoff of the Hotel Transylvania franchise, also scheduled for a 2027 Netflix release.
Television Highlights: Sony Pictures Television
- God of War: The blockbuster PlayStation video game adapted into a premium Amazon television series, debuting in November 2027.
- Messi and the Giants: A new animated series from Sony Pictures Television Kids launching on Disney platforms in August 2027, targeting the fast-growing sports licensing category.
- Adult Drama & Spinoffs: SPCP will spotlight Vought Rising (a spin-off of The Boys), along with Pluribus and Blood of My Blood.
Global Strategy
