The finalists across all categories have been announced and the winners will be revealed on Thursday 23 April at a glittering event in London.
Over 3,000 products were entered for the 12 prestigious product categories from companies large and small. And not only was the volume of entries staggering, but the quality was also of the highest level.
All of the main product categories were judged by a panel comprising retail buyers from right across the spectrum including Tesco, The Very Group, Dobbies, Selfridges, Voisins Department Store, Moonpig, New Look, The Works, John Lewis, Vanilla Underground, Iceland, Cardfactory, Boots, Character.com, Asda, TruffleShuffle, HMV, Marks & Spencer, TG Jones, Pull & Bear, Calendar Club, Next and Scribbler among others.
Products of Change, the global education hub aimed at driving sustainable change across consumer products markets and beyond, has also lent its expertise to judge the Sustainability Brand Licensed Range.
The finalists in the five Retail categories, meanwhile, were reached by a dedicated Retail Validation Panel, made up of licensing industry executives from both licensors and licensees, and chaired by Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Licensing.
Meanwhile, the Best Brand Licensed Retail Marketing Initiative – which was introduced for the first time this year – was also chaired by Richard and judged by a panel of marketing and promotion experts from the industry.
Ian Hyder, ceo at Max Publishing, commented:
“It feels like yesterday that we launched the B&LLAs, so for it to be marking its 10th anniversary this year is extraordinary. Many thanks to our loyal sponsors and supporters, many of whom have been with us since the start. Together, we have created an event that is the only one in the world which totally focuses on this incredible sector of licensing. This year’s shortlist of finalists underlines the brilliance, strength, innovation and creativity of heritage, museum, FMCG, corporate, lifestyle and other categories outside of character and entertainment. Congratulations to all and we are looking forward to celebrating with you on 23 April.”
Brand Licensing Europe will be returning as the headline sponsor of the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2026, while Licensing International will once again be lending its support.
“A huge congratulations to all the finalists of this year’s B&LLAs from everyone at Brand Licensing Europe. It’s such an inspirational afternoon in the licensing calendar with so many wonderfully creative people, brands and collaborations to celebrate,” commented Ella Haynes, BLE event director. “I particularly love seeing partnerships between established high street retailers and brands you wouldn’t immediately put together, but when you see the end product it makes absolute sense – just genius. I also love seeing so many of our BLE and Retail Mentoring Programme retailers peppered across the shortlist. Good luck to everyone – here’s to a fabulous event in April.”
Steve Manners, vp global marketing and UK managing director at Licensing International, continued: “The B&LLAs represent the very best of what our industry has to offer. They shine a light on the creativity, innovation and commercial excellence that drives licensing forward, and provide a vital moment for the community to come together to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement.
“Licensing International is proud to support the B&LLAs because we believe that championing excellence matters – it raises the bar for everyone, inspires the next generation of talent, and reinforces the incredible value that licensing brings to brands, retailers, and consumers alike. These awards are a highlight of the industry calendar, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone on the day.”
