Our fall edition lands in time for Brand Licensing Europe, with a first look at how Licensing Magazine and its media ecosystem will evolve from 2027.
The autumn issue of Licensing Magazine is out today, and it’s a special one. It arrives in time for one of the most anticipated events on the industry calendar Brand Licensing Europe. It also marks a turning point in how we build, manage and deliver our media ecosystem.
What’s Inside
As always, the issue covers the latest novelties and developments the industry should be watching. Its centerpiece is our extensive trends section, which has long been the magazine’s greatest strength. It features exclusive insights from leading professionals who choose Licensing Magazine to share their vision of the market. Readers who turn to the final page (p. 146) will get a first glimpse of where we’re heading next.
Beyond the Magazine: A New Deep Media Pulse System
At Licensing Magazine, we’ve always aimed to stay ahead, both in the trends we report and in how we create content for our audience. Trade publishing in its traditional print-and-digital form, however rich and carefully curated, is no longer enough on its own.
Since the pandemic, we have grown into a full media ecosystem. It now includes digital and print publications, social channels, newsletters (including thematic newsletters on LinkedIn like this one), and an all-news website. Our services have also moved well beyond information. Today, they include conferences and panel discussions we host and moderate at international events (remember the one we will host on Transmedia & Licensing at BLE on October 6th at 9.30am – 10.15am – Networking Hub!), as well as delegations that build bridges between Asian and Western markets.
Most recently, we helped launch The Deep Media Pulse a weekly podcast on the evolution of content and brands. It has been on air since last spring and has quickly developed its own identity, audience, and offer. It’s where we see the future.
What’s coming in 2027
From the new year, we will change our approach and the channels through which we deliver insights, news and content, both on the industry and for it. In practice, that means:
- Less one-way news, more community: genuine two-way communication with an active community that keeps pace with the market.
- Smarter distribution: we’ll move away from untracked free circulation, including free printed copies, and get to know our audience better, online and at events.
- A more interactive digital magazine, with an innovative format from the one you are used to now to browse
- Print becomes premium: “golden” and collector’s editions, richer in insights and opinion pieces and going beyond brand showcases.
- A broader international outlook: a strong presence at the sector’s major events, with something unique at each one. We’ll also operate from a more global setup and move our headquarters to strengthen our worldwide positioning.
There’s a lot in motion, and we can’t wait to share more.
Let’s meet: London, then Cannes, Shanghai, and Singapore
In an increasingly digital world, we believe events still win. They offer something neither print nor social media ever can: human connection. And that, ultimately, is what our business is all about!
So, here’s how to connect with us next week in London:
- 🎙️ We will record live the new episodes of The Deep Media Pulse at Brand Licensing Europe next week. We’ll set up a studio on our stand #E155 to record new episodes in front of a live audience. Register now to take part.
- 📍 Visit us at stand #E155. Pick up your copy of the new issue and say hello.
- 🤝 Find us around the show floor. We’ll be out for interviews, business meetings, and cocktails! Let’s meet!
After London, our business tour continues to MIPCOM in Cannes, the China Licensing Expo in Shanghai, and the Asia TV Forum in Singapore.
