Major feature-length investments, including Bad Fairies, Margie Claus, The Lunar Chronicles and Oh The Places You’ll Go! alongside fresh storytelling from iconic franchises such as Scooby-Doo are driving strong licensing interest.
Warner Bros. will bring fresh takes of beloved franchises and bold new animated worlds to partners and licensees at Brand Licensing Europe 2026 (BLE).
With projects currently announced through to 2028, and further reveals still to come, the slate demonstrates Warner Bros.’ continued investment in animation and the enduring power of storytelling. It combines new interpretations of established properties with original stories designed to engage audiences worldwide and build the next generation of global franchises.
At the heart of the slate is a strategy that brings together Warner Bros.’ rich animation heritage with ambitious, bold and unique new stories. From the return of one of the world’s most recognisable mystery-solving teams to original fantasy adventures, unexpected characters and a fresh take on a timeless festive story, the upcoming film and television pipeline presents significant opportunities for licensing and consumer products partners.
A new chapter for Scooby-Doo
Warner Bros. Animation will further expand the franchise with Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, the first original Scooby-Doo anime series, coming exclusively to Tubi in North America and to Cartoon Network internationally. Combining the property’s iconic characters and mystery-solving formula with the dynamic artistry of anime, the series will introduce Scooby-Doo to younger audiences while extending the franchise’s global appeal.
BLE attendees can feel as though they are part of the gang at the groovy Scooby-Doo Café. Located in the heart of the action on the show floor, it’s the perfect spot for a much-needed rest stop to refuel and enjoy a snack or two.

Bold new stories for the big screen
Across 2027 and 2028, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation is bringing several distinctive animated features to the big screen, each offering a unique world with the potential to captivate audiences and create new consumer products opportunities:
- Bad Fairies: an original musical comedy from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation set in contemporary London that follows a delightfully subversive gang of fairies as they shake up their magical world. The film will release on 21st May, 2027.
- Margie Claus: a high-stakes holiday rescue adventure from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and On the Day Productions. When Santa Claus goes missing on Christmas Eve, his sweet wife Margie does what any devoted spouse would do: she grabs a century old sleigh out of mothballs, puts together a wildly unqualified rescue team and ventures to the South Pole. The film will release on 12th November 2027.
- The Lunar Chronicles: Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation are bringing Marisa Meyer’s #1 New York Times bestselling book series, The Lunar Chronicles, to the screen for the first time. Set in a richly imagined future where classic fairytale characters are reimagined as unlikely heroes, the story delivers a thrilling, emotional adventure unlike anything audiences have seen before. The film will release on 3rd November, 2028.
- Oh, the Places You’ll Go!: Warner Bros. Pictures Animation is a sweeping musical adventure that expands on the beloved book by Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and is inspired by his personal artwork, featuring a voice cast that includes Ariana Grande as Whisper and Josh Gad as Bixby. Directed by Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton, the film arrives in theaters on March 17, 2028.
