The Business of Children’s Media Summit takes place Thursday 12 November 2026 at The Alex Hotel.
A new industry summit exploring how children’s media businesses can go direct to audiences launches in Dublin this November. The Business of Children’s Media Summit (BOCM) takes place on Thursday 12 November 2026 at The Alex Hotel, 41-47 Fenian Street.
As traditional television commissioning for children continues to contract, reliance on that model is becoming an increasingly risky strategy for producers and studios. Businesses creating children’s content now need a much deeper understanding of their audience, including how they discover content, where they spend their time, and what drives engagement.
They also need to understand how to reach those audiences directly, through platforms and opportunities including YouTube, gaming, licensing and consumer products. The Summit is designed to help businesses build that knowledge, identify new routes to market and create stronger, more sustainable IP.
The Summit is being produced by Dublin-based global kids media consultant Emily Horgan, in partnership with Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet, with support from Screen Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. The KidSAFE COPPA compliant contextual advertising pioneer Precisify is a key sponsor. The one-day program includes:
- A keynote from Erika Quinn, Director of Disney Kids & Family Consumer Insights
- A live recording of the Kids Media Club Podcast with Emily Horgan, Jo Redfern and Andy Williams
- Panels on digital and creator-led content, gaming, toys and licensing
- Dedicated networking throughout the day

Emily Horgan, from The Kids Media Club Podcast and Kids StreamerSphere newsletter:
The kids media industry is in a position of profound change as the traditional producer economy and the creator economy collide. That comes with massive challenges, but there is a huge opportunity here for businesses that harness the strengths of both. We have created this event to start those conversations.
Denis Crushell, Chief Commercial Officer at Precisify:
“What we’re seeing in kids is really a reflection of a broader shift across generations, where
audiences no longer live on a single screen, platform or format. Audiences are moving between YouTube, creators, gaming and traditional media, creating a much more fragmented path to discovery and engagement. Understanding where attention is forming, what influences audiences, and how those signals translate into commercial outcomes is critical. That is why conversations like this matter.”
Tickets are on sale at €75 (https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/the-business-of-childrens-media-summit-tickets-1998215489319) and include all talks, panel discussions, the live podcast recording, and lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
