Social Deduction Experience to Launch on WhatsApp for players across the UK and Ireland in 2026
CityDays and All3Media International have announced The Traitors: Anywhere, an officially licensed social deduction game inspired by the global hit TV phenomenon. Launching for players in the UK and Ireland, the game brings the tension, strategy, and psychological intrigue of The Traitors directly into players’ everyday lives, played entirely through WhatsApp with no additional apps or downloads required.
Built for groups of friends, families, or colleagues, The Traitors: Anywhere transforms a private group chat into a high-stakes world of suspicion, scheming, and surprise. Designed for up to 30 players—with larger groups able to split into parallel games—each experience unfolds over approximately one week of orchestrated action.
Gameplay Mechanics and Group Chat Intrigue
Across the week, players navigate a compelling cycle of missions, Round Table discussions, banishments, and covert traitor activity. Cooperation and deception go hand in hand as participants complete challenges, form alliances, and attempt to uncover hidden traitors or successfully conceal their own identity. Private messages with the host add an additional layer of strategy, while the group chat becomes the central stage for accusations, persuasion, and dramatic reveals.
