This July marks the second annual Bluey Storytime Month, by Penguin Young Readers and BBC Studios to inspire a love of storytelling all summer long.
The program features new events at CAMP stores and FAO Schwarz in New York City, free downloadable activities, and storytime experiences inspired by the award-winning series Bluey.
Bluey x CAMP Storytime Events:
To celebrate Bluey Storytime Month, the immersive family experience store CAMP has named BLUEY: CAMPING their inaugural Book of the Summer. On Thursdays and Sundays throughout July, families visiting Bluey x CAMP experiences in New York City, Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, and Minneapolis can attend special storytime readings of select Bluey books around a pretend campfire alongside activity sheets, giveaways, and more. One lucky attendee at each storytime session will receive a themed Bluey prize pack full of summer surprises. For tickets and more information, visit here
FAO Schwarz Bluey Storytime Events in New York City:
FAO Schwarz will host Bluey Storytime Month events at their recreation of Bluey’s iconic family home and playroom, taking place on July 17 and July 24 at 9:00 am EST. Families can click here to reserve their spot at these events, which feature a world-famous FAO Schwarz Toy Soldier reading a selection of Summer-themed Bluey books. Reservations are free and available on a first come, first served basis.
Additional Events and Activities:
Parents, educators, and booksellers can join the celebrations with free activities and other materials available at BlueyStorytime.com. Readers can download free activities including a Book Bingo challenge, Spanish-English bilingual activity, coloring pages, and more. Through July, Barnes & Noble locations nationwide will join independent bookstores, Popshelf, and more retailers to host Bluey Storytime Month events featuring activities, giveaways, and storytime read-alouds.
New Bluey Books for Summer:
This summer, Penguin Young Readers is releasing a host of new Bluey titles perfect for families to read together.
