Moxie & Company has been appointed the official exclusive global licensing agency for The Baby-Sitters Club, the iconic and beloved book series created by Ann M. Martin and published by Scholastic.
With nearly 200 million copies sold worldwide, The Baby-Sitters Club remains one of the most recognizable and enduring brands in children’s publishing, continuing to resonate with new generations through recent adaptations and renewed cultural relevance. Media adaptations have ranged from television to film, and now The Baby-Sitters Club Musical, the first-ever stage adaptation of the iconic series, is currently in development by TW Theatricals.
Under this new licensing partnership, negotiated with Amy Berkower and Cecilia de la Campa at Writers House, Moxie & Company will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global licensing and marketing program, focused on expanding the brand across key consumer product categories, including toys, apparel, publishing extensions, and lifestyle collaborations.
Arlene Scanlan, Founder and President of Moxie & Company, said:
“The Baby-Sitters Club is a rare property that combines deep nostalgia with ongoing relevance among today’s younger audiences. Its foundation of friendship, entrepreneurship, and relatable storytelling creates a powerful platform for meaningful and commercially compelling product extensions.”
Moxie & Company brings decades of experience in building and scaling licensing programs across entertainment, publishing, and lifestyle brands. The agency will focus on strategic partnerships that honor the authenticity of The Baby-Sitters Club while introducing the brand to new audiences through innovative and thoughtfully developed products.
“The strength of The Baby-Sitters Club lies in its timeless characters, and the emotional connection fans have with them,” added Amy Berkower, Chair of Writers House. “We see tremendous opportunity to translate that into products that feel both relevant and enduring.”
The licensing program will target best-in-class partners globally, with initial launches expected to roll out across multiple categories beginning in 2027.
