LAMS Launches Integrated Consultancy to Meet Industry Demand for Innovative Strategies

International IP owners have already confirmed their partnership with the new Spain-based boutique consultancy, Licensing & Animation Media Services (LAMS). LAMS covers end-to-end consultancy services for Animation, Content, and Licensing Business Development Strategies, keeping the Transmedia Approach as its Central reference.

With more than two decades of experience in licensing and content business development, LAMS was born to develop a new model to address what founders Cristina Angelucci and Catherine A. Rijsdijk Sous identify as the sector’s main challenge: transforming transmedia potential into a clear, connected, and scalable ecosystem.

The licensing landscape has fundamentally changed. Intellectual property now functions as a continuous narrative across multiple touchpoints and markets. As a result, media producers, IP owners, licensees, and retailers need a broader, more structured approach to content development and licensing projects.

“The challenge is rarely execution. It’s orchestration,” says Catherine Rijsdijk Sous, whose experience spans both brand management and licensing across multiple international markets in the past 20 years. “Brands become visible everywhere while becoming harder to articulate. Growth continues, but clarity weakens.“

LAMS addresses this need with an integrated ecosystem that unifies brand strategy, licensing management, content development, media influence, and international market execution. The agency supports companies by reducing friction and ensuring coherence across all brand touchpoints.

“The future of the industry lies in understanding the transmedia approach in depth and applying it to content and licensing development. This will enable the long-term growth of IPs and connect stakeholders across multiple touchpoints,” says Cristina Angelucci, also publisher of Licensing Magazine and The Animation Journal, and organiser of the Licensing, Media, and Gaming initiatives at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

The LAMS model is already attracting key international players, including IP owners and licensing professionals. By combining expertise with extensive trade media coverage —including Licensing Magazine and The Animation Journal— LAMS integrates industry insights into its strategy. Its direct presence and trusted partnerships in Asia, particularly in China, thanks to our local partner Sara Wang, enable bridges between Western and Eastern companies.

“Today’s licensing environment demands cultural fluency, strategic depth, and partners prepared to take responsibility for the brand as a whole,” explains Catherine. “International IP Owners are joining LAMS as Strategic Consultancy because they recognize that successful licensing is no longer about doing more—it’s about doing it better, together.”

The agency’s boutique structure allows for selectivity and depth, supporting companies through both expansion and evolution to ensure growth strengthens brand equity.

As the licensing market becomes more demanding, LAMS positions itself as an integrated partner for brands and content, navigating a complex global landscape and offering integration and clarity amid fragmentation and noise.
