Rainbow brought some sparkling Winx Club magic to Hamleys Milan with a dazzling takeover of the store across last weekend (6-7 December).
The hugely successful event filled the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II branch of the world’s most famous toy shop with colour, music and an exciting variety of activities for the whole family. For the Winx Club Glitter Party, Rainbow and Giochi Preziosi transformed the store into a festive space entirely dedicated to the vibrant world of Winx Club, from the storefront – which featured an afternoon DJ set in collaboration with Radio Kiss Kiss – to special areas on both floors, balloon designs by Gemar and creative corners.
A packed programme of activity included a photocall featuring the iconic Winx fairy wings; a glitter point to transform fans into real fairies; space to send your own Magical Message to the Winx; and three amazing Winx flash mobs each day followed by meet & greets. Flying off Hamleys’ shelves were the latest toy releases from Giochi Preziosi, including the new Winx Fairy dolls with removable wings; the Light Up doll collection; the Winx Iconic doll range; the Winx Beauty Pop line; and the sparkling Winx Grand Ball doll collection.
The magical weekend culminated in a special fairy farewell to the fans on Sunday evening in the Giochi Preziosi store in Piazza Duomo – but that wasn’t the end of the festive celebrations for Winx fans in Milan. Winx Magic Christmas, a unique themed experience in Piazza Città di Lombardia, is running for six weeks (until 6 January), offering shows, music, games and activities in specially adorned areas around a huge Winx-decorated Christmas tree, all designed to immerse visitors in the magical world of Alfea.
Winx Club is the hugely popular evergreen animated series set in a vibrant world of magic, friendship and courage that follows the adventures of a group of fairy friends. Winx Club: The Magic Is Back, an innovative new CGI adaptation, brings the magical dimension to life like never before. The eagerly anticipated 13-part series launched on the BBC in the UK and globally on Netflix this autumn to much acclaim.
