A Collection Rooted in Shared Values
In the Acne Studios x Moomin collection, Tove Jansson’s cherished Moomin characters—such as Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, and Little My—are reimagined across staple pieces in the ‘Face’ collection, from vibrant jersey T-shirts and zip-up hoodies to Acne Studios’ iconic denim. Thoughtfully integrated, Moomin patches replace Acne’s signature ‘Face’ motif on wool cardigans and beanie hats.
Acne Studios found inspiration in Jansson’s legacy: A utopian thinker, Finland-born Jansson published ‘The Moomins and the Great Flood’ in 1945, using the subsequent books to create a vision for an alternative society built on the principles of friendship, curiosity and nature. It is in this same non-conformist spirit that Acne Studios looks towards Jansson and her Moomin universe, creating a joyful collection that invites its wearer to experiment and have fun.
