Brands Licensing Africa (BLA) is the first event dedicated to licensing and brand extension in Africa, organized by La Maison de l’Afrique in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire and supported by Licensing International. Licensing Magazine is proud to be Media Partner of the first edition of this event.
The event aims to enable existing brands to expand into new areas and help emerging brands to be protected. BLA will bring together leading brand owners, retailers, licensees, and manufacturers for two days of trading, networking, and trend spotting.
For the inaugural edition, there are planned to attend 25 exhibitors.
The event expects to attract 1,000 visitors from the French-speaking chambers of commerce network (CPCCAF) in Africa and English-speaking countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.
For this first edition, the participants will activate their compasses around exhibitions, workshops, conferences, round tables, and networking sessions; themes as varied as Entertainment, Cosmetics, Fashion, Retail, Food & Beverage.
The educational content will cover topics such as introduction to licensing, retail challenges in Africa, the fight against counterfeiting, the role of licensing in boosting tourism and transforming the agri-food industry, new forms of entertainment, the importance of data for brand development, and the value of licensing for the textile industry.
The event will be bilingual, with sessions in both French and English, and feature 15 expected speakers.
Licensing Magazine is Media Partner of the first BLA and will help to attract international participants to the event and increase its popularity as a leading platform for licensing and brand extension in Africa.
