Reporting to Carlton Calvin, CEO and Founder of Razor, Buxton brings more than 15 years of experience in the areas of corporate strategy and kids’ consumer products to the role of President. Buxton’s expertise and passion for play will be integral to guiding Razor towards its next phase of growth and expansion.  She will lead with a focus on product innovation and providing consumers with affordable, high-performance products for exciting active play.

Buxton comes to Razor from Hello Bello, where she served as President and CEO for the last three years, elevating the company to the number 1 direct-to-consumer diaper brand in the United States. While there, she spearheaded the building of a diaper manufacturing plant, making Hello Bello the first independent diaper company to vertically integrate supply chain processes.  Buxton also led the successful sale of Hello Bello to Hildred Capital in December 2023.

Prior to that, she worked for Razor as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and as Chief Executive Officer at EQtainment, an educational media and technology company pioneering emotional intelligence (EQ) games and content.   Earlier in her career, she held roles in strategic partnerships, finance, and corporate strategy at Mattel. She has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, as well as a bachelor’s in science in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

We are thrilled to have Erica back at Razor,” said Carlton Calvin.  “Her collaborative leadership and her incredible experience are just what we need at this point in our company’s development. Growth and expansion are important to continue our mission of getting as many families as possible moving and playing together, and for that we needed an uniquely qualified steward.  Erica knows and understands Razor inside and out which means she can truly hit the ground running.

Returning to Razor at this time is truly exhilarating,” says Buxton. “As we gear up to commemorate our 25th anniversary, the company not only celebrates an unparalleled legacy in wheeled goods but also sets its sights on another phase of remarkable growth.  Our success story, rooted in fun, affordability, and a dedicated team of employees, continues to resonate with our enthusiastic fan base.  Leading this business at such a critical juncture is an incredible opportunity, and I am fully prepared to embrace the challenge ahead.
