NJ World, together with British creative animation studio “3Megos,” presents the trailer of the upcoming 7-minute comedy fantasy TV show, called “NELLY JELLY.”

Aimed at preschoolers, the series is based on the Lithuanian IP Nelly Jelly (Kakė Makė) and its best-selling book series.

Nelly Jelly is an award-winning best-selling series of books and merchandise in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Over 2 million Nelly Jelly products were sold in 2023 alone in the market of 140K target audience, and 2.6M total population. Nelly Jelly is now going international and has just released a trailer for the upcoming animated series.

The trailer gives a quick glimpse into the world of an intelligent, determined, strong little girl who often embarks on adventures with her imaginary monster friends, Jim and Jam. The show combines elements of music, fun, surprises, and comedy, making it ideal for family co-viewing, especially Gen Alpha preschoolers aged 4-6.

Nelly Jelly‘s world is like any other 6-year-old’s, with real friends, pets, family, and typical childhood challenges. She loves to play and explore, but when things go wrong or she has a wobbly moment, it creates a call into the monster world, and Jim and Jam suddenly appear.

Nelly Jelly is the driver of the story and the monsters don’t solve her problems for her. In fact, because of their monster powers and their ineptitude, they often seem to be making things worse. But somehow, it always turns out that the wrong turns lead to Nelly Jelly solving her own problems.

Nelly Jelly educates children with valuable life lessons and problem-solving skills in an entertaining way, while also promoting socially conscious values like diversity and equality.

To challenge traditional gender stereotypes, our audience will meet Jim, a fluffy pink male monster who is highly analytical and loves books, and Jam, a super-strong green female monster whose main role is to protect Nelly Jelly and spread positive energy wherever she goes. This kind of approach really resonates with the children of the Alpha generation, because they are inclined to support content that reflects their core values,” said Simona Krasauskienė, CEO of NJ World, the company that manages the Nelly Jelly and Kakė Makė IPs.

The Nelly Jelly animated series is created by the Emmy and BAFTA award-winning animation studio “3Megos,” with a co-production team including writers Paul Larson and Laura Beaumont, who have worked on popular shows like Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine, as well as for studios including Disney, Dreamworks, and Aardman. The studio producers are led by Mark Vale, who has over 30 years of experience in the animation business with a career that started at the BBC.

The partnership we have forged with NJ World is brilliant. A strong team with a genuine focus on great storytelling, and engaging children in genuinely positive and beneficial programming. Plus we are also combining the commercial skills of both partners to ensure we give Nelly Jelly the best start in life,” said Martin Lowde, CEO of “3Megos”.

The trailer, along with the scripts and storylines for the co-production, will be revealed in June at the Annecy Festival. The show is planned to be released globally in Q3 2025. The series will have 26 episodes, each lasting 7 minutes.
