PEA’S PHYGITAL PATH

It is with great enthusiasm that Pea reconfirms its presence at the Licensing Trade Fair in Bologna, following its success at CES in Las Vegas.

The company continues to experience a significant moment in the journey it embarked on at the end of 2022 with the launch of the digital start-up Kintana, a journey that has been an exciting adventure, full of challenges, successes and above all growth for the entire team.

Gianluca Aprile di Cimia, CEO of Pea, comments on the success of this new business venture: ‘Last year we made a brave decision: to found Kintana, a start-up that would not only embrace digital innovation, but would also break barriers and expand Pea’s skills. Our goal was clear from the start: to create something extraordinary, something that would leave its mark on the technology world. Now, looking back at all the work, passion and commitment we have invested over the past 14 months, we are extremely happy to share what has happened in the first part of this 2024, starting with Kintana’s participation last January at CES in Las Vegas as representatives of the Italian pavilion selected among the 50 most innovative start-ups in the country.

Looking ahead, we know that the journey has just begun and that CES is only one of many milestones we intend to achieve on our path of innovation and pursuit of excellence.”

While the Kintana venture represents further confirmation in Pea’s strategic path, the heart and soul of the group remain anchored in the production of physical projects and the development of innovative concepts for editorial products, loyalty and toys.

The Licensing Trade Fair in Bologna is the perfect occasion for Pea to celebrate its new phygital image with its two souls, the one related to the production of physical products and the other to digital products.

This meeting with long-standing customers and friends will allow Pea to show the effectiveness and synergy between these two dimensions and the resulting opportunities that can be generated with gamification and customer engagement mechanics.

For this reason, the beating heart of the stand in Bologna will be the TATA® world, an extraordinary project that perfectly embodies the union between physical and digital, representing the best of both worlds. The TATA world is the result of an exciting and challenging journey, which began with its first “physical” edition for De Agostini/Disney, thanks to the Magiche Storie Sonore project, distributed in over 10 countries worldwide, which then continued to evolve, renewing itself in the world of toys and loyalty, with the evolution of digital technologies.

Play Around, Pea’s Toy Company, has in fact devised an OEM model that allows any player, distributor or retailer to offer their audio box as a continuous product, supported by unique digital content, with or without a licence. TATA, with its established technology and integration of artificial intelligence, is emerging in Europe as the most effective and efficient solution in the industry. Its latest version with a proprietary digital ecosystem allows easy connection between the physical device and special digital content via RFID/NFC/AI technology, transforming TATA not only into a simple device, but into a true multimedia platform.

MORESTECH

Morestech is the project presented by Kintana at CES 2024 in Las vegas.

It is a ‘phygital’ nanny that revolutionises childcare and learning and offers parents advanced supervision tools based on the token economy behavioural programme. It integrates several functions, including:

  • Calendar: an agenda in which to record daily activities and progress.
  • Make a story: an app to create endless stories of your child using artificial intelligence.
  • Mission: the section based on the token economy that allows the child to be incentivised to positive behaviour and rewarded when goals are achieved.
  • Baby monitor: function that allows remote connection to the baby’s room to communicate or check the health status via sensors.
  • Diary: an app that allows the parent to note down all the information about their child’s growth and health: weight, height, allergies, etc.
