Rubber Road has announced the signing of a new license, Five Nights at Freddy’s, brokered by Striker Entertainment.
This deal sees the company’s design arm, Numskull Designs, creating a range of merch, celebrating this hugely popular survival horror game, that will be out later this year.
This is a great time to be working with Five Nights at Freddy’s, last year’s movie took the franchise from video game to the big screen introducing new audiences to the game and re-igniting passions for the gaming community.
Liam Taylor, Head of Partnerships & Development at Rubber Road, says: “Five Nights at Freddy’s is a great coup for us taking us to a more contemporary audience which is one of our key objectives for 2024. We enjoy enormous success with a whole host of nostalgia brands such as Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future and Jaws and we want to broaden appeal of our merch with franchises that have built huge followings in more recent times. Five Nights at Freddy’s and our recent Minecraft signing do just that, we have got 2024 off to a flying start.”
Russell Binder at Striker Entertainment comments: “Celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year, Five Nights at Freddy’s is experiencing significant global traction. We are excited to introduce the IP to a popular collector category in Europe, while simultaneously helping further expand a stylized category of collector products to domestic fans of our client Scottgames’ media franchise.”
