STAR ACADEMY IS BACK ON TF1

A new season means a new group of students! Star Academy returned to TF1 on Saturday, November 4th.

The prime-time launch episode got off to an excellent start, securing the vast majority of its target audience by attracting 3.8 million viewers and whole families with, on average:

  • a 37% audience share for ages 4-14
  • a 38% audience share for ages 15-24
  • a 44% audience share for ages 15-34*

A new class is also synonymous with a brand new decor! The Château de Dammarie-les-Lys was refurbished and now features a new room called ‘the audience room’. Offering a window on the outside world, the students will be able to use it to interact with viewers via MYTF1.

This season also sees the return of the Star Academy tour. A dedicated prime-time show will give students the chance to secure their spot on the tour!

In terms of licensing, Star Academy’s loyal partner Lansay has launched a new range of toys and games this year that are already proving popular with retailers and which will feature in stores and catalogues this Christmas. They have been available at Jouéclub !, in particular, since October 7th as part of a fantastic competition to win tickets to one of the prime-time shows.

Launched at the end of October, the Star Academy online store gives the show’s biggest fans the chance to buy licensed products from their favourite programme! Operated by Endemol, the store stocks textiles and gifts, as well as products from the Lansay range. An excellent promotional campaign has been rolled out to support this exciting launch.
