WildBrain has served up new festive experiences for fans of its beloved Strawberry Shortcake brand through new collaborations with Duck Donuts, and an immersive experience at The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic at the Rockefeller Center.
The seasonal activations follow the launch of WildBrain’s new CG-animated Netflix special, Strawberry Shortcake’s Perfect Holiday, which tells the story of Strawberry Shortcake and friends preparing for the “Winterswirl” holiday celebration.

We’ve launched several new toy and fashion collections for fans of all ages, created exclusive holiday recipes and sweet treats, and released an all-new animated special on Netflix, which is the perfect holiday treat for the entire family to enjoy together.”
To spread the holiday cheer, Duck Donuts is hosting an exclusive sweepstakes to find the ultimate Duck Donuts Sweetest Fan.* Under the new Strawberry Shortcake themed partnership with Duck Donuts, which was secured by WildBrain’s franchise team, a competition will be held to find the Duck Donuts Sweetest Fan and Their Berry Bestie.
To enter, fans need to submit a video via social media of how they and their bestie celebrate life’s sweetest moments with the brand’s sweet treats. The prize will be an all-expense-paid trip to Duck Donuts headquarters in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and also includes a private screening of the Strawberry Shortcake’s Perfect Holiday special. Additionally, Duck Donuts has a Strawberry Shortcake themed donut, featuring strawberry icing, graham cracker crumbs and marshmallow drizzle that will be highlighted as part of the collaboration.
The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic
The Strawberry Shortcake themed event, The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic, was held on 18 November and follows the brokering of a partnership by WildBrain’s franchise team with We are Smile Studio.
During The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic themed experience, registered guests for the free event have had the opportunity to meet the iconic Strawberry Shortcake character and enjoy branded sweet treats. Visitors have also receive a recipe card for Strawberry Shortcake’s Candy Cottage Peppermint Chocolate Cinnamon Buns, and on November 18 the Café Grumpy in Rockefeller Center have offered a complimentary strawberry-infused holiday drink, exclusively available for the Strawberry Shortcake event.
A new Strawberry Shortcake art installation by famed artist SpooksieBoo also featured, with the first 300 fans receiving an exclusive SpooksieBoo collectible pin. Classic Strawberry Shortcake dolls from licensee Jay Franco were also on display throughout the event. The partnerships with SpooksieBoo and Jay Franco were brokered by WildBrain’s global licensing agency, WildBrain CPLG.
