LM interviewed Tim Borne, co-founder of the audio content production company Blynd, based in Lyon.

Tim Borne
Blynd was created in 2020 by Tim Borne, Fred Roux and Maryne Chouzenoux, three members of Studio Anatole. Recently the enterprise has been entrusted with the audio adaption of four flagship series by children’s entertainment giant group Banijay Kids & Family: Martin Mystery, Totally Spies, Lolirock and Foot2rue.
How did the collaboration with Banijay Kids come about?
The project came about through the European audio content distributor Bookwire, which was commissioned by Banijay to help them develop their content in France and abroad. We were among the studios selected by Bookwire and in the end won the assignment.
Which properties are you focusing on now?
We are developing other children’s franchises in audio series, such as The Sisters, which we are co-producing with Tonies, with the official voices. And we are continuing to grow our catalogue of adult titles with La caste des Metabarons (The Saga of the Metabarons, Jodorowski), Peter Pan (Loisel), Blacksad (Guarnido and Canales), Lanfeust (Arleston) which is in the top 10 Audible Listens.
What would you like to build in the future of Blynd?
We would like to participate in the development of the immersive fictional audio market and support more rights holders in the development of their licenses for this promising format. We have several projects in front of us, the exploitation of our existing catalogue, the production of new content, the commercial deployment of the BLYND application, and the implementation of a regular watch on foreign markets, AI and the uses of audio in France…
