THE FIRST EDITION OF THE LICENSE ZONE AT KIDS’ TIME FAIR

14 Apr - 2023

Brand to Brand consulting firm and UNIT, the publisher of magazines such as Świat Zabawek and Papierniczy Świat, as well as the NaLicencji.pl portal owner, joined forces in the License Zone project, which aims to integrate the licensing product industry.

kids-timeThe first meeting and the premiere of the License Zone catalog occurred during the Polish trade fair KIDS Time.

The License Zone was a new space of the last Kids’ Time – the International Fair of Toys and Products for Mother and Child (Kielce, 22 and 23 February 2023), conceived as a unique opportunity to become familiar with the licensed products market, and to help companies develop their licensing business. The project was created by Brand to Brand consulting firm and UNIT, the publisher of magazines such as Świat Zabawek and Papierniczy Świat, as well as the NaLicencji.pl portal owner.

This new Kids’ Time area has made it possible to display the latest licensing novelties,  thanks also to a gallery with selected licensed products, such as FC Barcelona, Rainbow High, LEGO, Harry Potter, Head, Paw Patrol, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Minecraft, Fireman Sam, Bing, and many more.

There were also interesting conferences on the licensing market, with topics such as license programs for 2023, trending licenses in Poland, and the fight against fakes.

kids-timeAleksandra Kacprowicz, Licensing Manager, Fluid World, talked about the Pusheen license’s wide offer. Katarzyna Gruszka-Mierzwa, Senior Manager, Mattel Poland, and Aleksander Dubas, Consumer Products Associate, Mattel Poland, explained plans regarding the Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Monster High licenses. Finally, Natalia Siwińska, Director of the Polish branch of the licensing agency Elc Brands, presented licenses from the agency’s portfolio, such as Minions, Trolls, Jurassic World, Gabby’s Dollhouse, L.O.L. Surprise!, Rainbow High, CoComelon, Hello Maestro, and MeteoHeroes.

Paweł Szmidt, Business Development Manager, RMD Research, exposed a data overview in the Gaming and Toy fields, and legal advisor Katarzyna Prędota discussed how to use well-known trademarks legally.

kids-timeThe licensing business is developing incredibly fast in today’s times, and the number of companies operating in this sector is constantly growing. Although Licensing offers the possibility of higher turnover, is challenging, so staying up-to-date on topics related to this segment is crucial. Therefore, the premiere of the printed License Zone catalog, showcasing a cross-section of the offer of over 20 licenses, was a complement to the License Zone.

After the great success at the Kids’ Time fair, the License Zone is already projecting itself into the future: it can be defined as a new channel for promoting licensed products, a knowledge base that will expand your business, and a community platform operating in the licensing business.

More details and plans for future activities will be posted on the License Zone’s LinkedIn profile and on the website strefalicencji.com.
