Shattered Heaven is the Italian roguelike with card game-style combat and role-playing mechanics, scheduled to debut on PC on 19 April.
Announced last June following an excellent Kickstarter campaign, Shattered Heaven is the strategy roguelike with card game-style combat and role-playing mechanics that is gearing up for its PC debut on 19 April. It was created by the development team of Dry Drowing, the acclaimed investigative visual novel, under the supervision of Leonardo Productions, the operating arm of publisher Leonardo Interactive.

The first video shows details of the plot: in an abandoned and nameless world, humanity, guilty of betraying God and causing his downfall, finds itself cursed and forced to feed on what little the earth, turned hostile and barren, still has to offer. Four factions are destined to fight for survival by offering a vestal as a sacrifice, following a cruel ritual known as the War of Ascension. The game is full of multi-faceted characters, who are the spokesmen for deep and inclusive themes.
The second trailer presents the main game mechanics, from the dynamic deck-building system to tactical RPG combat and crafting. In addition to the intense storyline, the studied mix of genres and gameplay also have an important role in Shattered Heaven. In the course of exploring intricate dungeons on multiple levels, it will be possible to take control of a team composed of three different characters, each with their own pack of cards, and unique abilities that will make the gaming experience varied and customizable, depending on the player’s preferred combat mode. Being a role-playing game, there is no lack of a structured segment dedicated to character development. The roguelike nature of the game enriches each game with further variety, making the expeditions unrepeatable and increasing the level of replayability.
In anticipation of the imminent release, a free demo is already available on Steam. The contents of Shattered Heaven are constantly being updated, to create a complete and articulate video game that will satisfy even the most hardcore gamers.
