It has just been announced that Andrea Ziella has been promoted to the role of Sales Director and Mattel Creations Lead for the EMEA region as of 1 October 2022, also taking over as Managing Director for the Italian market. Ziella will continue his activities in Mattel Italy in his new position after having successfully held the position of Head of Marketing & Digital Mattel Italy for the past 4 years.
Anna Laura Siracusa takes over from Ziella at the head of the Marketing Italy team. After her experience in Henkel, she has been with Mattel Italy for more than 5 years, first as Marketing Manager and, since 2020, as Retail Activation Manager, where she started the business intelligence and commercial insight team, strengthening the strategic alignment between marketing and sales and accelerating retail and omnichannel plans.
Since the end of 2012 in Mattel Italy, Ziella in his previous positions managed the development of Prima Infanzia, Pre-School and Building Set brands in Italy, achieved notable results in the development of category management projects in Off-line and On-line channels, was in charge of the digitalisation process of the entire South-East Europe area (Italy, Greece and Turkey) creating synergic development projects consistent with the Corporation’s strategy and managed the development of the South African market for the entire Trade, Marketing and Digital part, accelerating the growth of the entire area.
A Bocconi graduate in Marketing Management, Ziella also boasts experience in the world of luxury (Chanel) and large-scale retail (Carrefour).
Through the competent professional figure of Andrea Ziella, Mattel intends to strengthen and aggregate the Italian team, pushing the company more and more towards a consumer centric approach. Furthermore, as Mattel Creations Lead for the EMEA region, Ziella will be in charge of developing the Mattel Creations platform by accelerating the business and increasing strategic partnerships.
