Presented the haute couture dresses created by the students of the ferrari fashion school to celebrate 18 years of Winx Club.

Haute couture meets magic thanks to the Winx. The trendiest fairies on the global stage, flagship property of Rainbow and Made in Italy, have landed at the 2022 edition of the glamourous Milan Fashion Week presenting a unique collaboration with the Ferrari Fashion School to honor the 18th anniversary of Winx Club.

On 23rd September, the spaces of the prestigious fashion academy located in the beating heart of Milan’s new Fashion District have welcomed a selected audience for the preview presentation of the six haute couture dresses inspired by each Winx fairy and created thanks to the extraordinary collaboration involving the students at the Ferrari Fashion School, supported by the young twin stylists Francesca and Veronica Feleppa from the Italian Feleppa fashion house.

Thanks to this ambitious project, the global phenomenon and symbol of pop culture Winx Club that managed to thrill generations, has also become the inspiration for new voices in the fashion industry. The students at the Ferrari Fashion School proved great skills and competence, analysing the six heroines’ personalities, style and distinctive traits to give life to real haute couture dresses distinguished by a particular care in the choice of materials and a strong attention to detail, drawing viewers into the Winx Club universe.

The winning students stood out by managing to fully capture the soul and personality of the Winx, translating them into truly magical outfits. Vittorio Alessi and Miriam Pellegrin are the stylists who created the outfits for Tecna, Musa and Bloom. Valentina Lacatena, Marika Caramia and Rosalba Andolfi are the creators of Aisha’s style, while Stella and Flora were created by Giada Dei Giudici.
Iridescent organza flames distinguish the look inspired by Bloom’s power and tenacity, amidst embroidery and pleated inserts that give the whole an unexpected shape. Stella’s confidence and sunny disposition, on the other hand, served as inspiration for a yellow outfit, made brilliant and vibrant by a glittery tulle, opened into a flounced silk taffeta skirt in an intense pink. The shy Flora seems totally immersed in nature thanks to the long emerald, green dress dedicated to her, embellished with shimmering fringes and a fairy-tale organza cape embroidered with softly coloured flowers. A Japanese-inspired dress in red moiré was made for Musa, under a black organza coverlet embroidered with musical notes. Aisha was given an outfit reminiscent of the colours of the sea: in this case, silver sequins enrich a lace skirt, topped with a satin overskirt. Finally, a jumpsuit in shades of violet echoes Tecna’s mood, featuring a black glitter bodice with a double layer of tulle studded with sequins.

The project saw the special participation of the Feleppa brand, led by the young twin stylist sisters Francesca and Veronica Feleppa. The two stylists personally supervised the students in all stages of creative development, supporting the creation of the garments from the initial concept to the fine-tuning of the outfits. The initiative has as its technical partner the historic Piedmontese company Montorfano, producer of fine fabrics for haute couture since 1986, which carried out the meticulous work of researching and creating the precious fabrics for the outfits.
In addition, Tessitura Attilio Imperiali and Tessitura Serica A.M. Taborelli supported the fabric research phase.

The event boasts installations by Gemar, Italian leading sustainability company and member of the UN Global Compact.
The special themed installations included 100% bio-based balloons made from rubber, a renewable material extracted from the Hevea Brasiliensis rubber tree. For every ton of balloons produced, 29 tons of CO2 are saved.


In these 18 years, the fairies born from the visionary genius of Iginio Straffi have grown along with their fans, who continue to follow their childhood heroines on social platforms. The Winx are today an evergreen global phenomenon, able to tackle evergreen themes and interpret the dreams and needs of the audience through values such as diversity and inclusiveness, crossing all cultural boundaries. Friendship, courage, commitment, generosity, and positivity: this is the explosive and essential mix of which the magical heroines created by Rainbow have been ambassadors since Winx Club first entered Italian homes on 28 January 2004. Since then, the Winx have been able to reinvent themselves and keep up with the times, if not even anticipate them: from the first hand-drawn sketches made by Iginio Straffi to 3D animation with high quality special effects created in Rainbow CGI studios, Bloom, Stella, Flora, Aisha, Musa and Tecna are now also fairies in the flesh thanks to the original Netflix live action series ”Fate: The Winx Saga” produced in collaboration with Rainbow. An ambitious challenge that has led to the launch of a second season available on Netflix from 16 September, proving the potential of the Winx brand, Italian pride all over the world.
