Milo Manara’s Caravaggio returns in a limited-edition luxury edition, autographed and hand-numbered by the Maestro: an unparalleled volume, rich in fine details and enhanced by an elegant bookstand.
Milo Manara’s great classic Caravaggio returns in a new luxury collector’s edition: Milo Manara’s Caravaggio – Exclusive Edition. Numbered and hand-signed by Maestro Manara, this version of an iconic work of Italian comics is available in a limited edition of only 113 copies, from Thursday, September 28 for Panini Comics exclusively on Panini.it.
The work illustrates the life and art of one of the most maudit painters of the Italian Renaissance, from his arrival in Rome to his exile in Malta to his dark Sicilian period and tragic and untimely death. This is a comprehensive and definitive volume where in the more than 100 pages of narrative, research merges with imagination. The new edition is being released just on the anniversary of the birth of Michelangelo Merisi, who was born on September 29, 1571, in Milan.
Milo Manara’s Caravaggio – Exclusive Edition comes with an elegant wooden bookstand that allows the large-format plates to be displayed as real works of art. The surprises of the new edition are numerous: from the thermobinding cover with gold foil printing, golden closing laces and golden bookmark-webbing, to the exclusive, unpublished afterword by art historian Rossella Vodret. The volume also contains a virtual rubric-tour illustrating the location of the paintings depicted in the graphic novel and a cover gallery with the covers of previous volumes.
A true work of art that with its magnificence celebrates two great artists, Caravaggio and Milo Manara
