Leomil, the licensed footwear specialist that is part of the Cortina Group, has hired Italian top executive Roberto Micciche, who has been active in the character footwear business for more than 20 years.
By expanding its team and strengthening its presence in the Italian market, the European footwear brand is maximizing its growth opportunities. Leomil has grown into a global player that operates in most countries in Europe, North and Latin America, Oceania, the Middle East and Asia and is now expanding its activities in Italy as well. “With the recruitment of top executive Roberto Micciche, we can fully focus on the Italian market with a new and powerful team. As Italian consumers are known for their love of character merchandise, we anticipate significant growth in the future”, explains Ishai Milhado, Managing Director of Leomil.
The hiring of this industry veteran will boost Leomil’s exposure across all Italian retail levels, and this through a vast sales team present all over the country. “Investing more in the Italian market feels like coming full circle after previous generations in our company built the Italian character business in the 90s”, states Ishai Milhado.
Roberto Micciche is eager to take on his new role and build the brand even further in Italy. “The concept of Leomil is unique to the Italian market, so I am thrilled about this opportunity”, says Roberto. “The multi-disciplinary strength that Leomil and Cortina bring to the table, in combination with my exposure to the entire Italian market, make this an exciting project with a lot of potential!”
Leomil has had a soft launch for the Spring/Summer ‘23 season and is in full preparation for the Fall/Winter ’23 collection to launch over the next few months.
