Mattel’s new sustainable product launch is in line with the company’s goal to use 100 per cent recycled, recyclable or naturally derived plastics in both products and packaging by 2030
Mattel has announced that Barbie, in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute, is presenting, as part of the Inspiring Women collection, the Dr. Jane Goodall-inspired doll made from recycled plastics for the preservation of the oceans and available in top toy shops and online.
On World Chimpanzee Day, 14 July, Barbie is proud to celebrate renowned ethologist and environmentalist Dr Jane Goodall, DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and United Nations Messenger of Peace, celebrating her groundbreaking studies and heroic achievements as a humanitarian, scientist and activist. The launch also coincides with the 62nd anniversary of Dr Jane Goodall’s first trip to the forest of Gombe National Park in Tanzania.
