FROGGER’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION CONTINUES WITH AN ARRAY OF NEW CONSUMER PRODUCTS

Konami Cross Media NY, Inc. secures new licensing deals with Homage, Great Eastern Entertainment and The Yetee, bringing a wide range of Frogger merch to market

Capitalizing on the exposure from its own original game show on NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock, Konami Cross Media NY, Inc. is unveiling an array of new Frogger consumer products in support of the 40th anniversary of the iconic video game property.

The announcement was made by Jennifer Coleman, Vice President of Licensing & Marketing at Konami Cross Media NY.

Hosted by Damon Wayans, Jr. and Kyle Brandt, the new Frogger game show premiered on Peacock in September 2021 and featured contestants leveraging both strategy and strength to take on supersized crossings amid daring and wild obstacles. The Peacock deal raised visibility for Frogger, arguably one of the greatest video games ever made, and introduced the property to a new legion of fans.

“Knowing how beloved Frogger is, we wanted to offer fans a wider line up of products available to fans following the launch of the new Frogger Game Show on Peacock,” said Coleman. “Our new licensees have a fresh and fun take on Frogger with exciting new products for our fans to enjoy.”

Among the new agreements are:

  • Homage, with Frogger nostalgic T-shirts available through its online store and select retail locations in the U.S. The company is well known for its retro graphic T-shirts featuring shout-outs to eclectic moments and personalities in music, popular culture and sports.
  • Great Eastern Entertainment, offering a full line of Frogger products including apparel, accessories, throws and blankets, headwear, hydration, home décor/bath/bed, stationery, plush, automotive, impulse/novelty, and electronic accessories in the U.S. and Canada.
  • The Yetee plans to offer an original take on the iconic Frogger brand on T-shirts, coins, pins, Hawaiian/button-down shirts and posters available exclusively on its online retail store.
