Hello Kitty and Friends, the licensing program starring the Japanese icon and the other classic Sanrio properties – My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Bad Badtz Maru, Kuromi, PomPomPurin and Kerokerokeroppi, continues in 2022 with new partners and exciting launches.
The most recent one is the first café entirely dedicated to Hello Kitty and Friends that opened its doors in Brighton (UK) last May 14th; it has been created in collaboration with Artbox an historical Sanrio partner and ke attraction for kawaii lovers in England and abroad. Two fully customized floors with the most beloved Sanrio characters, in which fans will have an immersive experience typical of Japanese character cafes: they will be able to enjoy a complete menu inspired by Hello Kitty as well as special dishes dedicated to My Melody. PomPomPurin, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi and Keroppi and purchase exclusive products and ad hoc merchandising.
This collaboration is added to an extensive list of partners and many are the product categories involved, from fashion to accessories, from toys to apps & games.
In recent months, many international brands have chosen Hello Kitty and Friends to diversify the offer and satisfy a wider audience, gender neutral and with more articulated tastes. We recall, among others, the H&M and Forever 21 collections dedicated to both the kids and adult target, and the collaborations with iconic brands such as Polaroid and Dr Martens.
The second accessories and jewelry range by Irregular Choice has recently launched; the English brand, famous for the eclecticism and refinement of its garments, is a real must-have for kawaii enthusiasts. Their pieces are acrylic-made and besides Hello Kitty include My Melody and Little Twin Stars.
