Former DJ turned children’s book author debuts a different kind of jamboree!
Parents hoping to find a fun story to read to their little ones will be delighted by a new character named Tubba Bear! This friendly bear and her pink guitar are ready for a musical adventure in the debut book, Tubba and Friends – The Big Music Jamboree. This read-aloud story is filled with colorful visuals, cute characters, musical instruments and engaging educational elements. Each colorful page is written in rhyme and repetition and is perfect for early learners to enjoy, as it reads like a musical. The new book, Tubba and Friends – The Big Music Jamboree will be released in hardcover in June 2022.
Written and created by Michael Ivery, a former international DJ for more than 20 years, Tubba and Friends – The Big Music Jamboree is the first children’s book featuring “Tubba and Friends”, a kid’s brand highlighting friendship, kindness and adventure through stories, learning and play. The book was inspired by the author’s youngest daughter, Emma, a 5-year-old with a passion for music and adventure, and inviting imaginary friends along.
“When I saw Emma creating these characters in her playroom who joined her on her musical journey, I wanted to capture that wonder and imagination in a book other kids could enjoy,” says Ivery. “Emma has been a big part of the book creation process — all the book’s characters have her stamp of approval.”
The story of The Big Music Jamboree is about Tubba Bear, who embarks on an exciting rhyming adventure with her pink guitar. Along the way, she travels and meets new friends with their own musical instruments. Before long, the sounds of “oompah oompah” and “shake shake shake!” become the pathway to her new adventure. What starts as an idea for one quickly adds up to an amusing day of friends on their way to “The Big Music Jamboree”!
Tubba and Friends: The Big Music Jamboree is scheduled for release June 22, 2022, and will be available in a 10×10 hardcover book format. In addition, the Tubba and Friends characters will also have free activities to download, as well as new merchandise, including book bags and apparel.
