Announces first licensing deals for the Svengoolie brand
Firefly Brand Entertainment has been appointed by America’s #1 Classic TV Network, MeTV (owned by Weigel Broadcasting Co.), as the North American licensing agent for the popular hosted horror movie television program “Svengoolie” and also for “Toony the Tuna” from the live-action/animated comedy morning show “Toon In With Me.”
In addition, the company is proud to announce its first slate of licensing deals for “Svengoolie” signing with Fright Rags for Men’s & Women’s T-Shirts, Tank Tops, Baseball T-Shirts, Hooded Sweatshirts, Socks & Enamel Pins; Star Cut-Outs for Standees; NECA for Action Figures and Stylized Plush.
Firefly will seek to build out both brands with various key partnership deals in pop culture categories, including but not limited to: costumes, t-shirts, make-up, craft-kits, plush/collectibles, hats, publishing/comics and many other categories.

“Svengoolie” is the hosted horror movie franchise airing Saturday nights nationwide on the MeTV Television Network. Featuring classic and campy horror movies from a variety of film studios, “Svengoolie” is a proven fan favorite watched by a million viewers every week. Starring Rich Koz, “Svengoolie” has been featured in DC Comics, Mad Magazine, the Dick Tracy syndicated comic strip and has earned the Rondo Award for Best Horror host 10 times.
“Toon In With Me” is a MeTV original one-hour weekday morning show featuring beloved cartoon shorts hosted by Bill the Cartoon Curator and his wise-cracking talking puppet side kick Toony the Tuna. Classic Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky the Pig, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Pink Panther and others air alongside original comedy sketches and a cast of hilarious recurring characters led by Toony the Tuna. Enjoyed by millions of viewers each week, “Toon In With Me” just celebrated its one year anniversary.
