Garagorri will be in charge of leading the company’s value proposition, as well as defining the commercial strategy to promote growth of the production company’s licencing and entertainment divisions
Zinkia, a Spanish company specialising in the production and management of entertainment brands, and creator of the popular children’s series “Pocoyo”, has appointed Eduardo Garagorri new Head of Revenues and Business Development at Zinkia Entertainment.
At this new role, Garagorri will lead the company’s strategic plan, as well as the definition of its commercial and positioning approach. In addition, he will be in charge of seeking new opportunities to grow the division responsible for licensing, distribution and commercialisation agreements for the production company’s entertainment brands.
Garagorri will draw on his extensive experience in the children entertainment industry, accumulated throughout more than 11 years heading the Product, Marketing and Sales strategy at Spanish toymaker, Famosa. He has also worked in consultancy at Boston Consulting Group and in technology at Seven Eighths.
Zinkia’s new Head of Business Development obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the School of Chemical Sciences of Madrid’s Complutense University, as well as an MBA from Instituto de Empresa business school.
Zinkia drives its growth plan for 2022
Eduardo Garagorri’s appointment is part of Zinkia’s national and international expansion plan. The production company has recently added three new children properties to its brand portfolio (Bumpy The Bear; Ghost Bros and Bugsted) after acquiring Canarian animation studio, Koyi Talent.
