An exclusive artworks exhibition and a special event accompany the Illustrabimbi collection, on which the adventures of Nina&Olga debut in the fashion world!
Nicoletta Costa, illustrator and author for children, has been enchanting young readers all over the world since 1980 with a series of characters that are now part of our imagination since many generations of children.
Thanks to her talent and more than 500 illustrated books published so far, she has been included in the Forbes list of the 100 most successful Italian women. The wonder of Nicoletta Costa’s world has gone beyond the printed page and now meets for the first time one of the most prestigious events for the kids&fashion industry, Pitti Immagine Bimbo 94 (Fortezza da Basso, Florence, 11 – 13 January 2022).
For the first time ever, Nicoletta Costa is coming to Pitti Bimbo with an exclusive exhibition: during the Florentine event dedicated to children’s fashion, from 11 to 13 January at Fortezza da Basso, in a dedicated location, the professional audience will be able to see the original artworks created by the famous author and illustrator for the first book of Nina&Olga, published by Mondadori last September. This book is the prologue of the successful animated TV series actually on air on Rai Yoyo, co-produced by Enanimation and Mondo TV Producciones Canarias S.L. – Nina Y Olga A.I.E. in collaboration with Rai Ragazzi.
Nicoletta Costa, as well as being a point of reference in children’s publishing, has recently launched a fashion collection inspired by her art, together with Illustrabimbi, which will debut for the first time at this edition of Pitti Bimbo. IllustraBimbi dresses children and adults in fairy tales: this has always been the motto of Cinzia Grassi, the creator of this brand-new fashion firm, whose aim is to transform fairy tales and nursery rhymes into real “pages” to wear for children and moms. A dream that has become more and more a reality with the birth of the new collection designed by Nicoletta Costa, I Tessuti di Nic. For the 94th edition of Pitti Immagine Bimbo, I Tessuti di Nic is enriched with new garments, whose prints are directly inspired by the new adventures of the Nina&Olga TV and Book series.
