MAYA THE BEE: TOGETHER WITH LET IT BLOOM

16 Nov - 2021

“Maya the Bee” ECO TREND BOOK is a special styleguide which supports the production of environmentally friendly, sustainable products in terms of design and packaging

Generations have grown up with “Maya the Bee”, which is why the brand continues to be so popular with children, parents and grandparents – this is ‘hummsational’ and has social significance. Studio 100 Group want to live up to this responsibility and push ecological aspects in the value chain that underpin Maya’s project Poppy Meadow in the area of insect protection and take into account the changes in consumer behaviour. They started this initiative in 2018 featuring “Maya the Bee” as ambassador for bees, insects, biodiversity and sustainability. Since 2020 they are cooperating in Germany with NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) supporting its protection project “Insect Summer”. More and more local partner are participating in their initiative by providing a wide range of support, such as Privatmolkerei Bauer, Ravensburger, Blue Ocean Entertainment, Sonnentracht and XOX Gebäck. For more information please visit: www.diebienemaja-bienenschutz.de – an English website is currently in development. This year, Project Poppy Meadow became international. The Polish nature protection organization OTOP was supported by “Maya the Bee” in their insect protection campaign.

It was a great honor for Studio 100 to receive from International Licensing Germany the Special Sustainability Award in Licensing for their and “Maya the Bee’s” activities in insect protection and sustainability in October. This sets on their path to expand Project Poppy Meadow beyond German borders in the coming years. After launching this initiative in Poland, they are already working on their presence in more countries.

Taking their next step in their mission for environmental protection and sustainability, Studio 100 Media has partnered with PACOON, a leading agency in Central Europe specializing in package design and sustainability and developed an international “Maya the Bee” ECO TREND BOOK. The aim is to inspire licensees to take the first steps towards more sustainable production and responsible use of the resources available today and for the future.

The brand new “Maya the Bee” ECO TREND BOOK is a special styleguide based on the artwork of the CGI series, which supports the production of environmentally friendly, sustainable products in terms of design and packaging, while promoting sales through promotional elements. The ECO TREND BOOK is designed to provide inspiration for the first steps towards more sustainable production and responsible use of resources.
