The clean nail polish line captures the magic and irreverent humor of Shrek in eight vibrant and playful shades
Eco-chic Beauty brand, LaPierre Cosmetics, has announced a collaboration with Universal Brand Development to create a nail lacquer line celebrating DreamWorks Animation’s beloved Shrek franchise.
Shrek continues to permeate the pop culture space, introducing new generations of fans to the franchise, and the Shrek-ish collection by LaPierre Cosmetics draws inspiration from the film’s characters with eight vibrant and playful colors. Encased in beautiful, branded packaging, the collection features a stylized insert card featuring an iconic character from the film and all eight shades in the collection.
LaPierre Cosmetics is an unconventional clean beauty brand with a range of vibrant lacquer shades that are vegan, non-toxic, and cruelty free. The company offers a range of safe, fashionable and affordable lacquers, formulated without the ten harmful chemicals that are found in many nail polish brands.
Brandi Blocker is the Founder and Mastermind behind LaPierre Cosmetics. The brand was inspired by her mother, J.M. LaPierre, who loved nail polish and taking care of her nails. But when her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and was limited to the brands of nail polish she could use, Blocker made it her life’s mission to create a ‘10 FREE’ polish that encapsulated her elegant, bright nature.
Commenting on the collaboration for the LaPierre Cosmetics Shrek-ish Collection, Blocker said: “The signature aesthetic and irreverent humor that is an indelible part of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek franchise shines through this epic collection and is truly one-of-a-kind. I am extremely excited and honored to be collaborating with Universal Brand Development to produce the Shrek-ish collection. I love nail polish and Shrek, so working on this line was very exciting.”
“Shrek-ish” by LaPierre Cosmetics was launched on November 1, 2021, which would have been Blocker’s mother, J.M. LaPierre’s 72nd birthday. On this day, LaPierre Cosmetics also launched their first lipstick, “Muah,” a fiery red hue, in honor of J.M. LaPierre, who loved and only wore that shade.
