Francesco De Robertis, known for his seniorship in licensing and retail, has become general manager of Fashion UK, the largest British multinational in Fashion Licensing, for Italy and Spain. Former Vice President of Sales & Marketing Europe for Sun City Fashion Group, after a period away from the sector with this new position he returns with energy to the world of licensing, motivated by the enthusiasm of the young entrepreneurs who surround him.

In 2020 Francesco also founded the We Together company, which will now take care of the commercial, marketing, and digital development of Fashion UK.

The company was born with the aim of digitizing the main channels of the Italian market, such as wholesale, where no player has a website or an e-mail address. It provides a new way of selling the product: it loads the items in the back office, then taking care of promoting them and procuring sales. Advance payment on the web allows you to optimize your earnings and speed up your turnover.

For Fashion UK De Robertis has in mind a choice of licenses guided by ethics and the recognition of the value they can bring to each territory. Given the quality of the licenses and products, a certain standard will be maintained by choosing an appropriate price for the items, avoiding devaluing them. Attention will continue to be focused on preschoolers but, given that today children have a lot of choices and are easily bored with properties, a wider approach will be adopted, planning products for adults and teenagers as well.

As for Fashion UK, important novelties are planned for the next collections. The choice of licenses will always be guided by ethics and the recognition of the value they can bring to each territory. In this new scenario, the gaming trend triumphs. Among the new licenses at the European level will be Xbox and the acclaimed Minecraft, which has sold 200 million units worldwide. For the Italian market, licenses with an excellent appeal are being selected: for example, some properties will arrive in autumn-winter 2022 that have obtained a very strong response in the United States.

Francesco is happy with the welcome from the Italian licensors, who are opening all their doors and evaluating them as potential leaders for the Italian market. A Fashion UK Corporate website will also be created with Italian management about the latest licensing news from the cartoon world and in general. Consumers will be kept up to date on news on Facebook and Instagram with weekly and daily (twice a day) content, aiming to raise awareness of both licenses and brands.
