With the Olympic Games just around the corner, 3 One-of-a-Kind Barbie dolls with EA7 Emporio Armani outfits are born to celebrate the women of Italy Team in Tokyo 2020 and support the FIAGOP
On the occasion of the Olympic Games, Barbie, Italia Team and EA7 Emporio Armani collaborate to celebrate the athletes of the Italy Team: three unique Barbie dolls created for the occasion with outfits signed EA7 Emporio Armani, which will be auctioned in support of FIAGOP – Federazione Italiana Associazioni Genitori e Guariti Oncoematologia Pediatrica Onlus.
The three dolls will fly to Tokyo together with the Italy Team, to be exhibited exclusively at Casa Italia Tokyo 2020 and to be admired in all their incredible details.
Announced the first doll wearing the uniform of Italy Team in Tokyo 2020: The exclusive graphics that customizes the clothes is a tribute to Japanese culture: the Rising Sun, symbol of Japan, is reinterpreted with the colours of the Tricolor, while the word ITALY, recreated with characters that recall the Kanji script, contains within it a reference to the Torii, the traditional gateway to a sacred place.
The other two dolls will be revealed during the women’s competitions; once again Barbie turns the spotlight on topical issues, because its mission, since 1959, is to inspire the infinite potential that is in every little girl. Thanks to Barbie, every little girl has had the chance to play different roles in every field: with this project, we want to remind little girls that they can aspire to be anything they want, even in sport.
The three unique pieces represent an inclusive capsule, a theme dear to all the brands involved: EA7 Emporio Armani is in fact also a Partner of the Italian Paralympic Committee, while Barbie has over the years focused on new models with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion.
Upon their return to Italy, the 3 Barbie One-of-a-Kind will be auctioned for a very special purpose: to support FIAGOP, the federation that with its members works every day to ensure children with cancer and leukemia the right to health and good quality of life and ensure their families the necessary support. CONI supports the association by amplifying in particular the event “Io corro per loro – Bambini senza cancro” (I run for them – Children without cancer) planned in Milan on 26 September 2021 and intended to support scientific research.
A highly valuable project able to unite the three brands under the common goal of inspiring future generations of women, in line with the principles of Olympism and gender equality promoted by the Olympic Movement: striving to achieve their goals and realise their dreams, in sport, as well as in life, to the best of their ability and without discrimination.
