Italian licensing agency DIC 2, worldwide licensor of the property Nina and Other Little Things, chooses Rainbow as licensing agent to increase the presence of the property in Europe
Nina and Other Little Things is a little red doll with a poetic design that has been achieving many international successes in the last eight years. It was the first Italian property to be nominated for the International Licensing Awards as best Art & Design property, joining names such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and the V&A Museum.
Since 2016, Nina has also been an ambassador for the monumental heritage of Île de France for the French Ministry of Culture.
The collections of stationery, homeware, gift items and books signed Nina are distributed by Fnac, Feltrinelli, Mondadori, Colette, Galeries La Fayette, and in the shops of Pompidou Museum in Paris, La Triennale in Milan, Palazzo Te in Mantua, Palazzo Madama in Turin, and many others.
Nina is increasingly popular in America, Asia, and Europe, and has partnerships with dozens of licensees. Rainbow will be responsible for expanding the reach of the brand on the continent to explore the potential of the brand and the character, developing partnerships for all product categories. The licensing team of the group founded by Iginio Straffi boasts over twenty years of experience in the sector and worldwide success with proprietary brands such as Winx Club and 44 Cats. It will support Nina’s expansion with focus on the international market and innovation, which will further enhance Nina’s charming, sweet and refined style.
“I’m very pleased with this new agreement”, commented Douglas Mari, Sole Director of DIC 2, “because Rainbow’s experience will allow a more widespread diffusion of Nina and lay the groundwork for the development of an audiovisual production to be able to cover also younger age targets.”
“Rainbow is thrilled to start working with Nina and DIC 2. The brand has great potential, and its values are contemporary, positive, versatile. We will be happy to provide our expertise to increase the brand awareness of Nina’s character throughout Europe in the lifestyle world, and beyond” comments Cristiana Buzzelli, SVP Content and Licensing at Rainbow Group.
