THE B&LLAS 2021 FINALISTS REVEALED

31 May - 2021

Top brands, licensees and retailers all set to celebrate at the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards

The finalists in the product, property and retail categories for the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2021 have now been revealed.

“After what has been an extraordinarily difficult 15-month period, the announcement of B&LLAs 2021 finalists is testament to the strength, resilience and creativity of the brand and lifestyle licensing community,” commented Ian Hyder, joint managing director of Max Publishing, which owns and organises the B&LLAs. “What’s more, everything is signalling that we all be together again in person at a real live B&LLAs awards event on July 7 at which the winners will be unveiled.”

The B&LLAs 2021 Awards event is to take place in the afternoon of Wednesday 7 July at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London. After a champagne reception, lunch and awards ceremony, the networking can continue in a spacious bar area adjacent to the main room until 8pm giving the whole industry time to catch up with each other.

The B&LLAs attracted a phenomenal number of entries, from companies large and small. Each and every entry was judged by a panel that comprised entirely of retail buyers from right across the spectrum, including John Lewis, The Very Group, Tesco, HMV, TJ Morris, Matalan, FatFace, Sainsbury’s, DFS, Toymaster, Morrisons, Smyths Toys, Pets at Home and Asda.

As evidenced by the stellar line-up of finalists, The B&LLAs 2021 shine the spotlight on all aspects of brand licensing, providing a platform for non-entertainment properties to be celebrated. These include lifestyle brands, as well as corporate, food and drink, heritage, fashion among others.

All the winners will be revealed at a special ‘real’ afternoon event at the Hilton Park Lane, London, which will take place on Wednesday 7 July 2021.

“The incredible activity in the brand licensing arena over the last year so deserves to be recognised and rewarded, which is what The B&LLAs 2021 will most definitely do,” commented Jakki Brown, joint managing director of Max Publishing. “What’s more, having secured the foyer bar (adjacent to the main ballroom) for our exclusive use until 8pm, it will mean the networking can continue safely until mid evening. We can’t wait!”
