BLINK INDUSTRIES TAPS STRIKER ENTERTAINMENT FOR DON’T HUG ME I’M SCARED

Blink Industries taps Stroker Entertainment for worldwide merchandising and licensing on their cult YouTube show, and in production television series, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared

Blink Industries, has tapped Striker Entertainment LLC to handle worldwide merchandising and licensing on their hit YouTube show Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. Striker Entertainment will oversee multiple categories for the wildly popular YouTube series (now in production as a television series), including toys and collectibles, lifestyle products, publishing, gaming, and more.  

Building on their cult YouTube show created by Becky Sloan, Joe Pelling, and Baker Terry, which has been viewed over a quarter of a billion times, Blink Industries new Channel 4 series will follow Red Guy, Yellow Guy and Duck as they continue their disastrous learning journey.

“The moment I was introduced to Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, represented by Julie Kane-Ritsch of the Gotham Group I was hooked, hooked and perplexed, and much in need a warm embrace” said Russell Binder, President of Striker Entertainment. “Blink Industries lures the viewer in with intricately detailed costumes, unique but familiar character design, catchy yet haunting original songs, and handmade set pieces, and then pivots into what I can only describe as preschool meets Pink Floyd, it’s completely unique, resonant, and translates naturally into consumer products.  I’ve literally never seen anything quite like it… well me, and 250 million other YouTube views that is.”

Baker Terry, Co-Creator of Don’t Hug Me I’s Scared said “This show and these characters mean the world to us and we are very excited by the prospect of sharing them with an even wider audience. Also, they have taken so very much from us it’s about f**king time they gave something back.”
