BOLOGNA CHILDREN’S BOOK FAIR WILL BE ALL DIGITAL

12 Apr - 2021

Last week Bologna Children’s Book Fair has announced the cancellation of the “live” in-person 2021 edition, along with the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair and the brand new BolognaBookPlus, all planned from 14th through 17th June.

To postpone the event to June has been to no avail since the world pandemic has not improved as much as the organizers hoped.
So, once again, and hopefully for the very last time, the tradeshow will be entirely digital, offering an even wider array of events and activities, along with the new BolognaBookPlus programme. In addition, the new Global Rights Exchange platform is about to be launched, offering a range functions for publishers and agents as well as a brand-new licensing section.

In the meantime, since last March and through May, BCBF has organized a calendar of online events and masterclasses, called OPEN UP. They can be followed at the link https://www.bolognachildrensbookfair.com/en/open-up/10613.html Among them, there will be also the first ever INTERNATIONAL KIDS LICENSING DAY, fixed for May 11th, and international industry key players are planned to attend as speakers.
