New Pokémon Pop! vinyl figurines are coming exclusively to Games Academy and Funside!
Funko Europe and The Pokémon Company International are launching special versions of beloved first-generation Pokémon Charmander and Squirtle that will be available solely from the games and comic book chain for the first two months following their release on 6th March.
Both Charmander and Squirtle will be available in standard 4”-sized vinyl and enlarged 10” Jumbo Pop! versions. Their launch will be accompanied by strong retail activation in all the chain’s stores, including branded sections featuring an exciting range of Pokémon products such as the market-leading Trading Card Game; a diverse selection of apparel; toys, manga comic books; and colourful drinkware.
Funko and Pokémon – two iconic pop culture brands – teamed up to launch their first-ever European range of the highly collectible vinyl figurines last October, with 4” and 10” versions of the hugely popular Pikachu and Bulbasaur among the initial release. Games Academy and Funside is Italy’s largest games, hobby and comic book chain, with over 30 stores across the country. Specialising in non-technological gaming and related events, their philosophy is “If you play, you never get old!”
