Red Monk Studio, an Italian creative studio founded in 2017 by Corrado Diodà and Lucia Geraldine Scott, joins the Superprod group, one of the most important French companies in Europe in the production and distribution of films and TV series for children and families, which acquires the majority stake.
As part of the deal, Pedro Citaristi, former International Sales Manager of Superights, joins Red Monk as CEO and Producer.
The goal is to create a new animation studio, based in Milan, which includes Italian and international artists able to manage all phases of development and production of animated TV series and feature films. At the technological level, the firm will be able to count on the pipeline and infrastructure developed by Superprod studio.
Red Monk will keep its editorial independence from the parent company, with the ambition to develop original products, as well as to be a co-production partner or production service for foreign producers.
Among Red Monk’s projects currently in a development phase is the TV series Osmond and Scout (26 x 22′), for a 6+ target, which tells the extraordinary friendship between a little girl named Scout and Osmond, a huge monster living in the forest. Other projects will be announced in the coming weeks.
Red Monk simultaneously announces the search for artists, such as animators, concept artists, character designers, background designers and storyboard artists. In addition to technical figures such as CG Supervisor and TD Pipeline.
