Spacetoon has recently announced a partnership with Moonbug Entertainment, Ltd. to bring global sensation CoComelon, which recently exceeded 100 million subscribers on YouTube and garnered over 130 days on Netflix’s Top 10 in the US, along with five additional Moonbug titles to MENA
Families in the region will be able to access six of Moonbug’s biggest shows via Spacetoon’s free-to-air TV channel and its online streaming service ‘Spacetoon Go’.
The coming titles to Spacetoon, which will be localized and dubbed into Arabic, include CoComelon, Little Baby Bum, Playtime with Twinkle, ARPO, Little Red Bus and Digley & Dazey.
The shows are categorized into two types: dialogue shows and non-dialogue shows. Dialogue shows include CoComelon, Little Baby Bum and Playtime with Twinkle that assist children to learn the basic concepts and acquire new words to enrich their linguistic competence. Non-dialogue shows include ARPO, Little Red Bus and Digley & Dazey which help them understand non-verbal communication like body language and facial expressions.
In addition to the exclusive rights of broadcasting and streaming the Arabic content in the region for the trending kids’ content, Spacetoon has been named as the master licensee of the phenomenal brand CoComelon in MENA.
Accordingly, Spacetoon has started developing a new line for kids’ merchandise and consumer products inspired by the show and its widely popular characters.
Remarkably, CoComelon has hit several record-breaking milestones covering both on and off-screen by surpassing 100 million subscribers on YouTube and achieving sales for many consumer items.
With its bright and bold colors, CoComelon attracts kids aged one to four to sing and dance along with Baby JJ and his siblings while learning letters, numbers, animal sounds, colors and more. The brand teaches children how to take on everyday activities with a sense of enthusiasm and infectious positivity.
